First to news and what’s going on…
Things are still rolling with the CD recording project in Nashville. And we are getting ready to RE-RELEASE my first CD, Daily Resurrection, at the end of this month! With the tracks remastered, it is going to be available under a different title AND include three new tracks previously unreleased! “Job 38″ was recorded in Lexington, KY & produced by Steve Broderson. Also included are two tracks from the upcoming project I’m working on in Nashville, “Tapestry” and “Vision”. Some may recognize “Vision” from when I played it at Southland Christian Church. Watch the website and emails (join the email list if you’re not on it already) for more details when it is ready!
As for other thoughts… Time goes by so fast these days! Chad and I spent the Christmas holidays on the road, visitng my parents, then driving to Florida to visit his parents, sister and grandmere (yes, she is French). We drove through eight states before arriving back home. On the way to Florida, we stopped and spent a few days in Gatlinburg, TN. We’ve been there many times through the years and love to to visit our favorite treasured places. One of those is the area of Gatlinburg called the Village. It’s especially beautiful during the Christmas season. One of the shops within the village is a great coffee shop owned by a friend of mine. It’s called Coffee & Company… they roast their own coffee beans and make great espresso drinks. Nestled back in the tiny corners of the Village, I’ll leave this treasure for you to explore and find.
There are two other locations of Coffee & Co in the G-burg area, so if you’re headed that way, check out their website and stop in for a hot drink. http://www.coffeeandcompany.net/
Before the holidays I enjoyed playing holiday/Christmas music for several different events in the Lexington area including brunches and a lunch at the Embassy Suites. Thanks for the opportunities! It was wonderful to meet so many great people along the way. I do hope that you had a good transition to the new year. In 2009, may we all have an “attitude of gratitude” as we recognize all the blessings we overlook most days… like breathing. And may we take notice of those around us and live with an open hand outstretched to “even the least of these”. – Grace & Peace – Adrea
Looking forward to hearing the new material as well as the remastered tracks. I listened to the rough mix of “Funeral Pyre” a few days ago in the car oddly enough. Take care and God Bless.
