Christmas Crazy – Life Divine

This has been a wonderful season already… and a busy one with the finishing of a new Christmas CD. After spending Thanksgiving fighting a viscious cold, things have been exciting. I visited the studio at WTCR and met some great folks on the “Homegrown” radio show. We talked about the new project in Nashville and “Tapestry” was aired!

Then, we kicked off December at Great Bridge Guitars in Wilmore KY for the Old Fashioned Musical Christmas. We’ve gone down those two lane roads to Wilmore for this event several years now… The street gets filled with people… shops open with music and food… one friend commented it’s like being on a movie set. It’s a few hours of simple joy.

Just last weekend I spent time with families at Southland worshiping at the Christmas “Remix” event. Saturday night I went from there to Common Grounds Coffeehouse in Lexington for a solo show and released the new Christmas CD!

Yes, the result of many late nights is a new Christmas CD – produced right here in our square brick house. I got creative with paint brushes and spent some time untilizing the acoustics of what is commonly known as the bathroom. Eli (the beagle of the house) was rather well behaved and doesn’t appear on any of the tracks, though it would have been a nice touch if he started howling on one. :)

“Christmas Crazy – Life Divne” has four songs that most folks know. It was a project I wasn’t sure would be finished in time for the Christmas shows, but it has come together. (I’m still recovering from sleep deprivation a bit.) The CD is not being sold though. It is given as a thank you for those who have made dontations to the still on-going CD project in Nashville. Work on that project will resume in 2008 after the holidays have come and gone. If you would like to make a donation towards that project and get one of the Christmas cds you can request one through the “Connect” page or come to the show at He Brews Cafe if you’re in the Ashland area on the 22nd.

Christmas can be a crazy time, but everyday you can live your life divinely inspired. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Grace & Peace – Adrea
